Clutter is not conducive to productivity and it can often be difficult to focus when your workspace is messy. Maintaining a tidy office can be easy if you make it a regular habit to clean up at the end of every day.

While it may be tempting to sleep in, have a leisurely breakfast, and start work at 11:00, it will make it that much harder to be productive when you finally get to work. It’s important to keep a schedule as if you were going into any other office; it will keep you accountable for your work and from getting distracted. If you tell yourself you’ll work from 8:00 to 4:00, you know what to expect and can plan the rest of your day accordingly.

4. Get dressed up

Before you had the privilege of working at home, you likely showered and dressed appropriately for your job. Whether that was a suit, a dress or a uniform, it was professional and different from the clothes you would wear when lounging around. It is important to not stop taking pride in your appearance now that you work from home and to dress as if you were entering any other office. Looking good makes you feel good and if you feel good, you’ll be more productive.
