1 in 6 Americans don't have Health Insurance – #TakeCareChat

Health insurance may not be the sexiest of topics, but it is one that we really need to address. Did you know that 1 in 6 Americans are going without health insurance? That number is even higher for millennials. In fact, 1 out of 4 young adults is currently uninsured.

Today, Get Covered America @GetCoveredUS hosted at Twitter Chat #TakeCareChat to talk about the Affordable Care Act #ACA and how it can benefit Millennials.

Some things that Millennials should consider:

1. What happens if you are sick or injured and make a trip to the emergency room. Are you aware of the cost of a trip to the emergency room or that the average cost for an over night stay is $10,000!!
2. Did you know that more than half of all uninsured Americans could qualify for plans under $100 per month? The rate drops to under $50 per month for almost half of all of us under 35!
3. Did you know that mental health and preventative care are core features of the Affordable Care Act?
