Get ready for an awesome chat sponsored by @Skype this Tuesday, September 19th at 8 PM ET.
We’re speaking with @Francesca_Bassa about “The Future of Chat and How To Develop Personal Networks.”
Meet Francesca Bassa:
Francesca Bassa is a Product Marketing Manager at Microsoft who loves to bring exciting new products to life on the Skype platform. She has worked on products like Skype Translator—a real-time voice & video translator that breaks down language barriers for people all over the world, and Skype Personal Expression Content—where she created a set of emoticons and Mojis to celebrate diverse examples of powerful women. Her inspiration for her work projects focusing on multicultural connections and empowering women stems from a unique athletic background. When not at work, Francesca is an active member of the U.S. National Fencing Team, traveling the world representing the U.S. at the highest levels of the sport. As the 2016 National Champion and alternate for the Rio Olympic Games, Francesca has her sights set on Tokyo—as well as working with Microsoft to empower people to follow their dreams.
More about Skype:
-The Skype promise to our users has always stayed the same: to help you create meaningful connections, regardless of the distance, in new, simple and intuitive ways. Looking forward, new Skype availability in combination with consistent user feedback makes us closer than ever to bringing your world together.
-Life is busy and filled with too many options. Staying connected, with all this noise, can sometimes be challenging. And in a world of choice, having a familiar place to share with the people who are closest to you, can go a long way. Skype now helps to take the stress out of connecting with friends and family, giving you the tools you need to make experiencing life together, every day, simpler.
-We heard from our users a desire for deeper daily communications, with the people they care about most. The aim of Skype is to help deepen connections within your personal networks. These networks are people you have close connections with, that you use to plan events, coffee chats, and especially, to foster career growth.
